Ways We Help the Community During COVID-19

Mask Sewing Campaign

As some of you may know, MPCC Care Ministry has distributed cloth masks to our church members. If you have not received your masks or are still in need, please contact Debby at info@mpcchurch.ca.

We are now in the second phase of this campaign. We will be sending masks Tam O’Shanter Seniors Apartment because our Markham Gospel Performing Arts Group has sung to these seniors for the past three years. We hope to deliver the masks to the seniors before Mother’s Day.

Food Donations

We are still accepting food donations and are looking for volunteer drivers.

Because of the increasing community demand, please bring non-perishable and canned foods to church, or donate it directly to one of Carefirst’s food drives for isolated seniors:

Carefirst One Stop Multi-Services Centre

300 Silver Star Blvd., Scarborough or call (416) 502-2323 for more details.

Carefirst Family Health Team (Richmond Hill Clinic)

420 Hwy 7 East, Unit 27 (Storefront), Richmond Hill or call (905) 695-1133 for more details.

We are still in need of many volunteer drivers. We prefer individuals under the age of 65 because of a higher risk due to COVID-19. Volunteers will be responsible for delivering essentials to people in need. If you are interested, please contact Liz Kwong at (416) 618-0755.

Community Initiatives

Thank you so much for helping us share Jesus’s love with others during this difficult time.

If any of you have any other ideas about ways that we can help our community and show our love and support to others during this trying time, please email us at info@mpcchurch.ca. We would love to hear your ideas, as this is a time for learning for all of us.
